BILLING – CPT Codes
Initial Intake:
-
- 90791 Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation (usually just one/client is covered)
Therapy Sessions:
-
- 90837 Psychotherapy, 60 minutes (53 minutes and over).
- 90846 Session without patient present. (Can also be used for family or marriage session without client present)
Crisis:
-
- 90839 (60-90 minute Crisis session, please indicate the minutes on billing sheet)
Add on codes:
-
- 90840 Addon code for an additional 30 minutes (75 minutes and over). Used in conjunction with 90839.
- 99051 (appointments after 5pm/ weekends/ holidays) – not all insurance companies pay for this code. We will apply it accordingly
