Bringing Hope and Healing
I see my clients via telehealth (phone & video). Teens to Adults.
I am Camille McDaniel, the Founder and Director of Healing Psychotherapy Practices of Georgia, LLC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia and since 2003 I have been helping people of various life stages heal from anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, and the weight of always being “the strong one.”
My work focuses on people who learned early in life to survive by doing, fixing, and holding everything together, often while quietly carrying their own pain. I believe that healing and restoration are possible for anyone who is willing to take the first step, even when that step feels scary. It is an honor to walk with my clients as they begin to release survival patterns and move toward peace, clarity, and a more authentic sense of self.
In addition to my work as a counselor, I spent seven years teaching at the university level in both undergraduate psychology and graduate community counseling programs. This background allows me to blend practical, real-world support with solid clinical knowledge and a passion for educating and empowering the people I serve.
My Approach:
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy to help clients understand their thoughts, emotions, and patterns, and to build skills that support long-term change. My style is warm, direct, and occasionally humorous. I value honesty, compassion, and collaboration in the counseling relationship.
